The Lead Water Meter Technician is responsible for assisting the meter supervisor with the daily operations of the meter department inclusive of field customer service operations. Additionally, this role is responsible for the warehouse/stock inventory, ensuring efficiency through installations, while training and evaluating assigned personnel. In the absence of the Water Meter Supervisor, serves as a liaison between the Property manager and City.

Responsibilities
- Schedules and assign daily service/repair work to meter technicians to ensure that they meet daily quotas.
- Ensure that all water meters are installed in proper working order and that escalations are issues are kept to a minimum.
- Responds to after-hours service and emergency leak response calls.
- Assist the meter operation crew with meter system repairs.
- Meet daily quota of installed meters.
- Conduct quality inspections of meter installations & provides feedback to meter techs.
